What we fill our "pips" (heads!) with impacts our lens on life. And which lens we choose to look at things through can make a real difference even when nothing changes. So, which lens will it be?
The negative one - filled with news reports of violence, devastation, cruelty, political manoeverings, global impossible impasse and a problem for every solution?
The critical one - social media filled with shoulds, ought-tos, why-haven't-we's and comparisonitis that can leave us feeling less-than and overwhelmed?
The trivial one - filled with time sucks on a valuable currency we'll never get back - Netflix we watched just because, podcasts that we didn't need to hear, trolling endlessly and mindlessly through newsfeeds that 10 years ago we didn't have and without which our life will carry on just fine...perhaps better?
The comfortable one - that edits out what and who we need but don't want to hear? That has us putting our heads in the proverbial sand and refusing to change, adapt and flex?
The positive one - made up of an intentional mix of carefully chosen social media, limited news because it is always distorted and never just informational, a current good read because books are our friends, time invested with friends and family, with nature and in health because we aren't a human bullet, and time deliberately and consistently spent right-sizing and sanity checking our problems, our what next and our path ahead to ensure we're still on vision.
Our choice....
